SEM WINE BAR
In 2021 Miguel Saboya was invited to design the interiors of the Lisbon restaurant and wine bar SEM.
More than just a restaurant, SEM challenges our notion of what sustainability means, inspiring new, creative solutions to tackle waste.
To translate the restaurant's vision, so eloquently expressed in the food it serves, to furniture Miguel Saboya resorted to using materials of the least possible environmental impact. Recycled plastic and AcĂ¡cia wood, an invasive tree species in Portugal, were elevated and given new life through the contemporary design of chairs, stools, tables and a slated planks-style bar.
